Dual Meets are usually on Sundays with warm ups starting at 4pm and lasting until 9 pm. Club practice times vary by pool, but usually have morning and afternoon practice hours Monday – Friday.

2024 Head Dive Coach and Assistant Head Coach Job Description Carderock Springs Dive Team, MCDL
Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club located at 8200 Hamilton Springs Court, Bethesda, MD, is looking to hire a Head Coach and 1-2 Assistant Head Coaches for their 2024 summer Dive Team. The Carderock Cudas are passionate divers who range in age from 6-18 and all skill levels. The season begins in mid-June and runs through the end of July. Practices are generally held in the morning and evening (but we are willing to be flexible on practice times as long as it works with the Club).
The Head and Assistant Head Dive Coaches will report to the Club General Manager and will work collaboratively with the Carderock Dive Representative and other parent volunteers to ensure a fun and safe experience for dive team members.
Head Dive Coach Responsibilities:
● Develop diver skills in a fun and safe environment.
● Attend team activities including practices, dive meets, pep rallies, and other team-related activities.
● Prepare divers and dive sheets for all Dual, Invitation, Divisional, and All-Start meets.
● Coordinate with the dive representative, Carderock Club Manager, and parent volunteers.
● Manage coaching staff including developing weekly schedules and tracking hours worked.
● Be a role model for assistant coaches, coaches in training, and young divers.
Assistant Head Dive Coach Responsibilities:
● Help the Head Coach to develop diver skills in a fun and safe environment.
● Attend team activities including practices, dive meets, pep rallies, and other team-related activities,
as needed/scheduled by the Head Coach.
● Support the Head coach in preparing divers for all Dual, Invitation, Divisional, and All-Start meets.
● Work with the Head Coach to manage the Junior coaching staff.
● Foster a fun and spirited team and team activities, while serving as a role model to young divers.
Qualifications:
The Head Dive Coach and Assistant Dive Coaches must have the following certifications before the start of the season. Certifications must be current and active at the time of employment:
● Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
● Successful completion of USA Swimming’s Athlete Protection Online Training Course
● Lifesaving certification
● MCDL Coaching Clinic attendance in May/June
The Head Dive Coach and Assistant Dive Coaches are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a diving coach.
The Head Dive Coach and Assistant Dive Coaches are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of personal diving experience and an understanding of the proper and safe execution of dives.
Compensation:
Carderock Springs Swimming Club, Inc., pays a competitive salary that corresponds with experience. The salary will be divided across regular club pay periods with the applicable portion paid every two weeks. The Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach can also offer private lessons to interested divers. Carderock has an established compensation rate for private lessons.

We have GREAT assistant dive coaches coming back to assist the Head Coach with all aspects of team management. NCC Dive Team is a fun loving group of divers with all skill levels from first timers to record breaking All Stars divers. Our team has between 40-55 Divers ranging from age 5-18. Our new coach should be committed to developing diver’s skills in a safe and fun environment.
2024 Summer MCDL Dive Season begins end of May and ends last week in July. Practice Times are 5-7pm before MCPS Schools are out for summer and 11-12pm & 5-7pm after school is out.

We were undefeated in dual meets last year and this year will be our first in Divsion One! Manor Woods has loads of team spirit and committment from our divers and parents. The team has 50-60 divers ranging from ages 5-18 at all skill levels. We are looking for someone who is committed to continued skill development while helping to ensure a safe and fun environment. Flower Valley Dive Team is seeking a head dive coach for the 2023 summer season. The ideal candidate would have prior dive coaching experience and enjoy working with kids of a variety of ages and diving abilities. Prior participation in a recreational or competitive dive team is desired. Knowledge of the proper sequence of dive skill acquisition is a requirement. Good team management and organizational skills are necessary as is a desire to help every diver progress to the best of their potential and have fun.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide daily dive instruction appropriate to several different levels of divers.
· Work with dive team representatives and assistant coaches.
· Coach at all dive meets including Rookie Meet (June), Divisionals, All-Stars, and Robin Hood Invitational (all in July).
· Attend all social events and planning meetings.
· Help create an atmosphere of team-spirited fun for all ages.
· Be a role model for assistant coaches, coaches in training and young divers.
· Other team duties as needed specific to Summer Dive Season 2024.
Practices are typically:
· Monday -Friday 4:30-6:30 pm until public schools are closed for summer, and then
· Tuesday-Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 am and Mondays-Fridays 4:00 - 6:00 pm; Wednesday afternoon practices are not held when our pool hosts a home swim meet.
· Some flexibility on times of practices may be considered as long as it meets the pool schedule of the Flower Valley Bath and Racquet Club and swim team schedules.
Old Georgetown Swim and Dive Club is searching for a Head Diving Coach for the 2024 MCDL Summer Season. We are located in Bethesda near the intersection of Fernwood Road and Democracy Blvd.
Our dive team ranges in age from 6-18 with skill levels from beginner to all-star competing in Division I.
Season begins at the end of May and ends the last week in July.

Mill Creek Towne pool (Derwood, MD) seeks a friendly, responsible, and energetic head dive coach for the 2024 MCDL summer dive season. The MCT dive team is Division IV and consists of 20-30 boys and girls, ages 6 to 18, of all levels.
We are looking for a head coach who would prioritize developing our divers skills in a safe and fun environment. Our divers have skill levels ranging from beginner to intermediate, and we have a few who are ready for more advanced dives. The head coach would manage an assistant coach and 1-2 junior coaches. Our pool has two boards.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience and/or advanced experience diving
- Interest in creating a spirit-filled team in cooperation with the pool's swim team
- Attending or have attended a MCDL Coaching Clinic offered in May and early June.
- Certified Life Guard a plus
Our season is 2+ months and begins at the end of May depending on coach's availability. Practices will be 4-5 days a week. Our season ends at the end of July, after All Stars. We have a closing banquet in late July.
We are flexible and open to working with the coach on the schedule that works best for them and the team. The head coach will also have the opportunity to hold private lessons or offer clinics or outside of normal practices. Salary is competitive based on level of experience.

River Falls Swim & Tennis Club, located at 7915 Horseshoe Lane, Potomac, MD, is looking to hire to a Head Coach for the 2024 summer dive season. The season begins at the end of May and goes through July. Our team is made up of divers aged 5-18 from beginner to All-Star. Practices are generally held in the evening but could be modified with approval from the Club.
The Head Coach will work with the Assistant Coach, an experienced diver and member of the team, and the Dive Reps with all aspects of team management.
